Warden Avenue, between Ravenshoe Road to Old Homestead Road in the Town of Georgina

The Regional Municipality of York works continuously to maintain the condition of our regional roads for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians. York Region is making improvements to Warden Avenue between Ravenshoe Road to Old Homestead Road in the Town of Georgina and you are receiving this notice because the road construction will be close to your residence or business.

Construction is scheduled to begin mid-May and is expected to be completed in July/August, 2016. As with all construction projects, some work may be rescheduled due to weather. York Region will provide advance notice whenever possible.

The contractor, K.J. Beamish will be maintaining access to residences and businesses within the Warden Avenue construction limits. Warden Avenue will remain open to traffic during the road construction, however lane restrictions will be in place for the duration of the road work.

The project includes the following work:

• Removal of the top layers of the existing asphalt
• Repaving with new asphalt
• Removal and replacement of driveways and roadway culverts
• Ditching work and sign installation

York Region will make every effort to minimize disruptions and thanks you for your patience and understanding.
