One of Canada's most recognized icons will perform in Georgina for the first time when the RCMP Musical Ride takes to the Sutton Fairgrounds Sunday, Sept. 11.
Beginning with a pre-show at 1 p.m., the troop of 32 horses and riders will perform variety of cavalry drills choreographed to music at 2 p.m., followed by a meet and greet and photo opportunities at 3 p.m.
Developed in 1876 by early members of the North-West Mounted Police to display their riding ability and entertain the local community, it has evolved over the decades into a uniquely Canadian performance enjoyed by tens of thousands of spectators every year.
Tickets are $5. Children age 5 and under are admitted free.
